The next permanent exhibition (opening: 10. January 2010) at the Ruhr Museum is set to tell the fascinating story of one of the largest industrial regions in the world.

Representing a new type of regional museum, the Ruhr Museum has taken on the role of guardian for the Ruhr region's important history.

Exhibitions about the present and the past of the region will be featured on three levels.

Directions with public transport:
from the main train station with tram line 107 towards Gelsenkirchen HBF to Zollverein stop. From other directions: S-Bahn line 2 to "Essen Zollverein Nord" station (in the past "Essen-Katernberg Süd" station).
