Das Kleine Theater in Essen on Gänsemarkt is one of the oldest private theatres in North Rhine Westphalia.

Its audiences love its unique ambiance: its cosy, familiar living room atmosphere with only 41 seats positions the audience 'right at the heart of things'.

Performances take place on Fridays and Saturdays from September until June. The actors always relish trying new things on the 'little' stage, which is only 3 by 5 metres in size.
