Katakomben in located in the cellars of Giradet House, a service and cultural centre, and has become famous as part of the independent theatre scene in the Ruhr region. Its mixed programme of cabaret and comedy, jazz and children's theatre, celebrities,
and up and coming artists appeals to the enthusiastic audience.
