Folkwang Musikschule

With around 5.500 students, and many events throughout the city, the Folkwang Musikschule is one the largest and most active music schools in Germany. Children, young people and adults are taught by experienced teachers about music, song, dance, drama, and music theory.
The FMA is headquartered at the Weststadt-Hall, a former Krupp industrial, which got an extravagant new look with an impressive glass facade.

Directions by public transport:
from Essen main station with the U-Bahn lines 11, 17 or 18 to the "Berliner Platz" stop, take the "Weststadt" or "Altendorfer
Strasse / Arbeitsamt" exit. From there you will get to the Music Academy via the stairs at the Colosseum Musical Theater.
